Shop 'Til Ya Drop

There is a jarring felling that overcomes you when you discover signs that you are growing old.  Not necessarily tell tale signs like graying or hair loss [although those have been tell tale signs for me too....but that's another blog entry], but rather something as peculiar as shopping.  The last couple of times that I have commuted out of my New York city residence I have realized that a have an incredible fascination with 24 hour supermarkets!  I somehow get joy out of being able to get up out of bed at 1 AM and driving to the neighborhood Walmart/ Everything Market and knowing that I can walk right in and buy a bucket of ice cream..........or..a sofa.

Now while most may view this as a regular thing & therefore take it for granted even in NY, the city that never sleep it is very hard to find that supermarket that is open all day & nite. I recently found out that there is a King Kullen 24 Hour weekdays spot tucked away in my "hood" so I am a little excited about that. I might just have a party that I want to throw on a whim in the middle of the week & need to pick up some supplies.....or..a sofa. Aging gracefully?....ahh..not sure.
