Vacation '05

Well...what can I say except that I've been back from vacation for over a week and I already feel like I'm in desperate need of another one. This one was a little rough. It's not that the resort that we went to was rough [as you can see], but when you are stuck on a resort for 8 days and you come to the startling realization that most of the food there is POO-POO...well...it changes the grandeur of paradise a little bit. We had to deal with mutated hot dogs and purple [yes purple] hamburgers. Luckily their restaurants were relatively better than the open buffet spots.

Spent a ton of time by the pool
And sippin' on that sizzurp.........
Also got a chance to do some horseback riding
And some scuba-diving...
All-in-all it was a good experience. I don't think that spending more than 4-5 days @ a resort will do it for me though. This was my first resort vacation [I'm usually a cruise vacationer] and besides the food situation, I became really restless. The staff was very helpful & the resort ground was very nice looking. The weather was great [HaaaT!] also. The resort offered no official outside excursions from the looks of the areas surrounding the resort [as in most "3rd World" countries] you might be targeted as 'open season' in the without a guide. So me and wifey stayed put on the resort for 8....long....days. Viva cruises!
