One thing that I can't stand about the computer industry is how fast the "current" standard of hardware & software is phased out. You might buy a computer that is top-of the line a week ago and in 3 months its "standard", in another 3 months you computer is viewed as a technological relic because the new-so & so system is out on the market and you have the old version so it can't do the same things that you were using it for just 6 months ago. When I first bought my G4 800MHz I-Mac, this thing was blazing fast & dependable. I haven't really added any major new programs to my i-Mac and I've basically only used it for i-Tunes & i-Pod reasons. So why is this thing constantly crashing and is slow as $#@+. So now I'm looking into getting new RAM for it while the new i-Mac G5 is available with all the trimmings that are not G4-compatible......................TBC............
